Where to Look First

Choose the record path based on the kind of information needed.

• For a person in the county jail, start with jail inmate records and then call the detention front desk if the roster is unavailable.
• For booking photos, use jail roster mugshots and the sheriff records request path when a current photo is no longer online.
• For charges filed after booking, use court records after a jail arrest and the Spartanburg Public Index.
• For facility-specific contact details, use the detention facility pages listed in the footer.

Court and Prosecutor Contacts

After a jail arrest, the booking charge may move into Magistrate Court, Municipal Court, or General Sessions. The 7th Circuit Solicitor represents the State of South Carolina in criminal cases from Spartanburg and Cherokee counties.

Include the person's full name, date of birth if known, booking date, arresting agency if known, and the exact record sought.
